Travis Kelce Recently Wore T-Shirt Featuring Taylor Swift’s Ex John Mayer

Eagle-eyed Swifties spotted his wardrobe choice in a September episode of Kelce’s podcast ‘New Heights’

Some eagle-eyed Swifties are raising their eyebrows at an item of clothing Travis Kelce was recently sporting.

Back in September, Kelce joined his brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, and sister-in-law Kylie Kelce, for an episode of the family’s New Heights podcast, in which they discussed the Chiefs’ star’s babysitting abilities, Tinder and more. At the time the episode aired, Kelce’s Taylor Swift dating rumors were heavily circulating — which is why some fans were shocked to see him wearing a T-shirt featuring Swift’s notable ex-boyfriend, John Mayer.

In the episode, Kelce can be seen sporting a black John Mayer tour T-shirt.

NFL fans and Swifties alike have taken to social media to discuss why Kelce might have worn this T-shirt, as Swift’s early hit “Dear John” was specifically about the pair’s break up. Some argue that this was a calculated move on the part of Kelce — to “send a message,” as one fan put it.

Even Barstools Sports exec Dave Portnoy chimed in, stating simply “the plot thickens.”

Despite the lingering questions about Kelce’s wardrobe choice, he and Swift’s relationship is seemingly becoming more solidified. On Thursday, Swift attended her third Kansas City Chiefs game, and Kelce just accompanied Swift to New York and appeared on Saturday Night Live.

Although both Kelce and Swift have remained mostly tight-lipped about their relationship, Kelce spoke highly of her in another recent New Heights episode.

“I just thought it was awesome how everybody in the suite had nothing but great things to say about her,” he said. “The friends and family. She looked amazing. Everybody was talking about her in a great light.”
